Terms of Service

Effective: July 5, 2026. Applies to the Melelem beta.

Melelem is operated by Melelem, Inc., a company incubated by Fountech.ai Limited (“Melelem”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using melelem.ai or beta.melelem.ai (together, the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. What Melelem is

Melelem gives you a personal AI: a model that learns how you write and think from the material you give it and the edits you make, answers on its own where it can, and consults larger third-party models where it can’t. It also lets you hand work to other people, who work on it inside their own Melelem accounts.

2. The beta

The Service is in beta. It is free while in beta: no fees, no card. In exchange, you accept that the beta is provided as-is: features will change, break, or disappear; availability isn’t guaranteed; and we may need to reset or migrate data as the Service evolves. We will tell you before doing anything that would lose your work where we reasonably can. The beta is opened in waves; we may grant, refuse, or withdraw access at our discretion.

3. Your account

You need a valid email address. Accounts are created by signup or by accepting an invitation; an invitation creates a real account bound to the invited email. Keep access to your email secure: sign-in links sent to it are your credential. You must be at least 16 to use the Service. One person per account; don’t share sign-in links.

4. Your content

Your content stays yours. That includes what you write, what you upload, what your personal model produces for you, and the material you use to train it. You give us only the license we need to run the Service for you: to store your content, process it with the models, and show it to the people you explicitly share it with.

Training is per-account. Your writing trains your model. It is not pooled into anyone else’s model and not used to train shared or third-party models.

5. Sharing and handoffs

When you hand work to someone, Melelem shows you exactly what will travel with it, and nothing is sent until you confirm. Once you send, the recipient receives a copy in their own account. Like an email, that copy is theirs: revoking a handoff cuts off the connection but does not pull back what was already delivered. Share deliberately.

6. Bring your own keys

If you add your own API keys for third-party model providers, you are responsible for those keys, the provider’s terms, and any charges the provider bills you. We store your keys encrypted and use them only to make the calls you ask for.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, to harm others, to send spam or deceptive material, to violate someone else’s rights or privacy, or to probe, overload, or interfere with the Service itself. Don’t try to extract other users’ data or models. We may suspend or close accounts that do any of this.

8. Third-party models and services

Answers may be produced or assisted by third-party AI providers (for example Anthropic and OpenAI) and delivered through infrastructure providers listed in the Privacy Policy. AI output can be wrong. Review anything important before you rely on it or send it onward.

9. Our rights and yours

The Service, its software, design, and branding belong to us or our licensors, including Fountech.ai Limited. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service while these terms are in force, and no other rights to it.

10. Ending things

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time via legal@melelem.ai. We can suspend or end beta access where these terms are broken, where the law requires, or where the beta itself winds down.

11. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that: the beta is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties; and the total liability of Melelem, Inc., its affiliates, and its licensors (including Fountech.ai Limited) arising out of the beta Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which during the beta is zero. You remain responsible for what you do with the output.

12. Changes and law

We may update these terms as the Service evolves; if we make a material change we will post it here with a new effective date, and continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, USA, and its courts have jurisdiction.
